iikoDelivery 5.5
Centralized Delivery

To configure centralized delivery for a chain with iikoChain, complete the following actions:

  1. Register points (terminals) of delivery at a call center and set up delivery functions. We recommend that you configure delivery functions (setting up districts, reasons for delivery cancellation, street and customer directories) on the call center's iikoRMS (with iikoCallCenter license installed).
  2. For these settings to apply to all outlets that carry out deliveries, one shall make a call center's iikoRMS and iikoChain exchange data and then send the data from iikoChain to all points of delivery (perform data replication).

If an iikoDelivery license is used for iikoChain, street and customer reference books can be edited in centrally. All actions to add / delete / change elements of the reference book of the stock list, payment and discount types should only be performed in iikoChain.

  1. A special mode - Retrieve reference books of all outlets - should be enabled in iikoChain for an outlet that is a call center. Only in this mode a call center can properly interact with points of delivery.

If this mode is not available (or is later disabled), you will not be able to register delivery terminals in the call center. If iiko reference books are not synchronized at an outlet and call center, the order can become “problematic” when accepted at the call center or transferred to another outlet (see Problem control).

The Retrieve reference books of all outlets mode can be enabled in iikoChain in the outlet properties (Corporation | Corporation Setup – <call center>). Save the outlet's configuration and confirm activation of this setting. When exchanging data with HQ (iikoChain), not only iikoRMS data will be exported (call center) but also the data of all other outlets of the chain (points of production).

Centralized delivery can be configured for a chain of outlets (restaurants — points of production) which is under control of iikoChain. In this event, dishes can be served at different prices at different outlets. The outlet-specific price list is created under a HQ order (from iikoChain).

A call center shall be configured as one of the chain outlets (iikoRMS) and other chain outlets can serve as points of delivery.  A separate server (iikoDelivery Server) shall be created for delivery management.

A call center shall not be combined with an outlet’s iikoRMS server. This may lead to a malfunctioning of the outlet’s iikoFront due to a large number of orders, since a call center receives other outlets’ directories.

A call center operator accepts and forwards orders to the point of production. Working in a centralized delivery system does not prohibit you from entering orders in terminal mode.
