iikoFront 5.5
Clock In/Out

Sign-In window

An authorization window appears at iikoFront startup. Here you can swipe a card or enter PIN-code to log in to the system, and assign couriers, if delivery service is required. Besides, reservations and banquets are shown here, if configured in iikoOffice.

One may set an image or video as lock screen wallpaper.

To set a background image, go to Administration > Outlet settings in iikoOffice, then in iikoFront main window image click Select and specify a bmp, jpg, gif or png file.

To put a video on the lock screen:

  1. Create C:\Program Files\iiko\iikoRMS\Front.Net\media directory and put the necessary file in, and then rename it as login.wmv. By default iikoFront plays files with this name.
  2. You may use any other video and place it in any directory. Use Windows Media Player compatible files. Set it up using config.xml configuration file in loginScreenVideoPathparameter line. For instance, <loginScreenVideoPath>C:\demo.mp4</loginScreenVideoPath>.
  3. Reboot iikoFront.

Getting started

To get started with iiko, open a personal shift. For this, you need to log in to the system by swiping your card or entering your PIN. Keep in mind that, if you log in to the system by entering your PIN-code, then to clock in you will need to confirm this by swiping your card or the card of a responsible manager (depending on your access rights).

If your shift is not open, then you will be redirected to your personal page where you need to click Clock in, otherwise you will not be able to accept and process orders of your guests. You can also clock in from the Advanced Menu screen.

In case of a restriction to work in other departments set up in iikoOffice, then you may only log in to the terminal of the department specified in your card.

A responsible employee has to open the cash register shift on each of the cash registers (see Till Shift).

If you hold several positions, then, when you clock in, you may choose any available for that moment.

Availability of positions is determined by the schedule:

  • The “Wages” or “Flexible” schedule positions are available at all times. But if a position has the No confirmation required for unscheduled work unchecked, then to select such position, one has to swipe a card with “Confirm unscheduled positions” rights (F_CWAUS).
  • “On schedule” positions are available only at that time, when they have shifts scheduled.

Unavailable positions will be blocked and highlighted in grey.

You may change your position in the process. For this, you have to go to your personal page, click Change position and select any available position on the list. In this case, the current position will automatically close and a new position will be opened.

If at that moment there are no positions available, then you may only keep on working under the current one.

Using Waiter Lock keys

For authorization on the terminal, waiters can use Waiter Lock keys. You can log in by using the key only on the iikoFront authorization screen.

To start working with the system, insert your key into the lock. To lock the system and go to the authorization screen, remove the key.

If a waiter logged into the system by using the key, they can also only lock the system with the key. Upon pressing a warning message pops up, and the waiter remains on the work screen.

When logging in with the key, the terminal is not locked automatically.

End of working hours

At the end of your shift, you should clock out. If you have any open orders, transfer them to another employee who will continue to serve them. By default, one can clock out regardless of open orders. However, if Clock out while open orders exist is unchecked in the outlet settings, one has to close an order or hand it over to another waiter to clock out.

Go to the Advanced Menu screen by clicking and press Clock out. Keep in mind that if you close the shift before the time set by the shift schedule, you may automatically accrue a penalty (as defined in the system settings).

Terminal shutdown

One shall switch off a workstation (e.g. at the end of the working day in the outlet) directly from iiko. Furthermore, in the course of this operation a personal shift of the employee can be closed automatically.

The permissions for shutting down the working terminal are assigned to managers by default. Press located in the Advanced Menu screen to do this. If clicked, depending on the system settings, you will be prompted to confirm the shutdown or to lock the terminal.
